SERVICE OVERVIEW
During the maintenance period of your new home build, your builder must fix any additional defects that become apparent.
While most problems are identified throughout the building process, some minor defects become more evident once the house has been lived in for a while.
As a new homeowner, you are entitled to have any defects rectified if they are considered the builder’s responsibility, taking into account any warranty given by manufacturers.
Finding and rectifying issues can avoid time-consuming and costly repairs in the future, especially if these are your builder’s responsibility.
Some of the defects you may notice:
- Structural problems
- Non-compliance with standards
- Cracking of cornices and gaps in cornices and skirting
- Poor workmanship
- Issues with tiling
- Dampness issues
- Doors not closing properly
- Roof issues
